October 8 Marsden Bay to Auckland
Well after a great breakfast of toast and coffee, packing up the very wet tent it was time to move on. Back to Kaikone, ferry landing, then heading south through the Waipoua Forest Range. The road had all of the curves that you could want but being that it was wet and covered with debris, it was very slow going. Once out of the forest, the road straightens out to Dargaville. Stopped for a bit of coffee in Dagaville, nice clean town with the proper bakery in place of course. From there we follow the road to Brynderwyn (and it means what?), Wellsford then finally to Alan’s in Auckland. Of course not having any mishaps with the bike this whole time, when I am pushing the bike into the garage it falls over…… me thinks it’s time for a beer.
